AWESOME REVIEW IN POWERPLAY MAGAZINE

Sexploitation just got a fantastic review in the latest issue of Powerplay Magazine (Issue 175 May 2015). "Star Scream have produced an excellent album that guaranteed to have people dancing and enjoying themselves, and in doing so, they've proved that you don't need a huge budget to make a thoroughly entertaining album."

Here is the full article -

"Here's something a bit different. Star Scream are an electronic rock band from London who play music that is as wonderfully risqué, as the title of their album suggests: 'Sexploitation' would provide the perfect soundtrack to a night out at the sleaziest, sexiest kinds of Soho clubs, with its Marilyn Manson meets Motley Crue sound and general vibe of slightly campy gothic shock rock.

Things get off to a suitably atmospheric start with the jaunty, slightly carnival sound of 'Roseblood' and only become weirder from there on out. Track names like 'Death Shower Scene' and 'When Crimson Lips Spell Murder' let the listener know that they're in for a fun, and not necessarily terribly serious, time. There is a moment of seriousness on haunting acoustic album closer 'The Girl Who Was Death', but the album's mostly packed full of catchy songs that combine the thumping crunch of industrial metal with the hard-partying attitude of seedy glam rock.

Overall, Star Scream have produced an excellent album that guaranteed to have people dancing and enjoying themselves, and in doing so, they've proved that you don't need a huge budget to make a thoroughly entertaining album."
